I have created a "file download product" with "Create an account for the user when this product is purchased" checked under User Account Provision, and the Anonymous Purchasing Policy for this product: set to "Registered Only".
My problem is that the payment goes through (PayPal), but no account is ever created for the user, so the file (music) they purchased is never made available to the customer.
Here are some of my enabled modules
------------------------------------
All E-Commerce Core modules
E-Commerce Customer Interface >> E-CiviCRM
E-Commerce Payment Methods >> PayPal
E-Commerce Product Types >> Apparel, Donate, EC Media, File Product, Generic Product, Parcel Product, Tangible Product
E-Commerce Uncategorized >> Coupon, EC Recurring, EC Useracc, Invoice, Shipcalc, Shipping API, Subproduct, Tax API.
CiviCRM 1.9
I appreciate your assistance with this issue. Let me know if there is any additional information I can provide you.

brmassa commentedStephen,
its a drupal problem, only fixed when you use Drupal6. We expect to fix this on eC4 for D6.

esadot commentedstevewickii - you might find this useful: http://drupal.org/node/172845. I believe it solves the issue, in addition it provides an email to the anonymous buyer with an embedded url to his "my files" directory.

kansas-1 commentedYou guys are so awesome. Thank you for your help. I don't know what I would do without you all. I'll check out that link esadot, and I can't wait for Drupal6 to release a stable version!
Happy Holidays!

kansas-1 commentedUnfortunately, The patch esadot provided doesn't fix the problems, it just adds different functionality to kind of work around one issue.
I at least need the ability to disable ec_anon or prevent anonymous users from accessing the product pages, cart and checkout processes, but I can't do either! ec_anon is required by pretty much every ecommerce module, and there are no permissions under Access Control to prevent anonymous users from accessing the products on the store.
Could you offer any suggestions, patches, etc.. I am working on a record label website that needs this store fully functional by the 27th.
Earlier brmassa said, ec_anon would be fixed for Drupal 6 eC4, but I only see 5.x-4.0 Alpha6 on the download page. Will ec_anon be fixed in Drupal 5.x-4.0? If this is stable I could upgrade to it.
What would you suggest I do? I really don't want to switch modules. I think that the ecommerce module is written better and has more functionality than ubercart.
Cheers

esadot commentedStephen, I apologize if I've sent you on wild goose chase.
I just reread your original post, and i'm a bit confused: you're saying (a) "Create an account for the user when this product is purchased" and (b) "the Anonymous Purchasing Policy for this product: set to "Registered Only"." - seems as contradiction in term, if "Registered Only" is set why would you need to create an account? further, you're adding "My problem is that the payment goes through (PayPal), but no account is ever created for the user, so the file (music) they purchased is never made available to the customer.".
Personally, I feel that a bit of clarification would be best for the discussion:
- the potential buyer: is he a visitor (i.e. doesn't have an account), or a user (i.e. has an account)?
- if the former: do you want to create, behind the sense, an account for this visitor (e.g. new buyer)?
