Hi, I am currently in the planning stage for a new site. One that can potentially become very big and profitable (I hope). This site is sort of ecommerce, in the way the, users can submit work and then sell it at a set price. If some of their work is sold, then they get a percentage of the sale, (royalties/royalty). What I want to know is, is it possible to setup a royalty system of that sort with drupal. so far I have seen that ubercart is an option for ecommerce, but I am unsure wether it is capable of doing what I want, and I am sure there are others. Please help.

Note: My site is not selling physical products as such. It is selling essays etc... which users can submit and sell. however I am also unsure wether People would prefer to do it the way I have describe above, or, pay a subscription of some sort and then have full access to the entire site. but then they would not make a profit. any opinions are welcome, and any other Ideas of how I could do it are ecouraged.

As part of v4 there is a new ec_commissions module which does just this. It will when a sales is complete it will calculate the commission and then later it will pay the money to the people who have received commission.

Then with payment gateways that support making payments it will like paypal it will send the money to them.
