Mail subystem report that it depends on: Token (missing) and it is missing even from CVS

Also configuration produced errors on running update.php after install. Here is one example of many:
able 'labelzilla.ec_mail' doesn't exist query: UPDATE ec_mail SET numrefs = numrefs + 1 WHERE mid = 6 in /var/www/html/labelzilla/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 172.

I have the feeling that the health of the E-commerce module depends on the order of enabling the modules

With my clean install > enabling token > then enabling e-commerce > reclicking "save configuration" on the modules screen (after receiving a few warning about ec_mail) I receive no warnings any more.
