Just tested with the full media update. This requires file_entity to be updated as well. And updated media_ckeditor to the latest version.

This combination tested in two sites, and see no errors or unusual behaviour.

For file_entity one patch was already applied
For media the security patch was removed in favour of the entire update, but the patch for issue 2774369 was added.

Let's keep this issue for just the security patch, since it is the easiest and doesn't require as much testing as a full media update.
I'll make a separate issue updating to the latest media version.
