I've installed bench chart and it broke the search module, all I've got was "You must include at least one positive keyword with 3 characters or more." If I disable it, the search works again.

Have you tried latest dev?
Probably duplicate of #523278: Extreme bug: bench_chart kills off Drupal search indexing!

No, I didn't. I'm going live next monday and I don't want to spend more time debugging problems. I really only used the module to get some reports but I guess I could live without them.

I had the same issue, i had to disable, uninstall and re-index, now search works again. ill try the dev on my test site later.
