I used Display suite before but disabled it and then resintalled the new version recently.

When I try to install it , I get an error which says

DatabaseSchemaObjectExistsException: Table ds_field_settings already exists. in DatabaseSchema->createTable() (line 657 of C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal7\includes\database\schema.inc).

Does any one know whats wrong ? Do i need to do something else ?

You need to fully disable and uninstall drupal modules to make sure any leftovers are gone.

I got this working. I have to completely remove all the tables manually after uninstalling it to make it work again!
