- Will be custom pages, potentially with views. This is the taxonomy listing at the top and node teasers below.
- Featured listings will wait for #371972: How will featured listings on the marketplace work?.
- Right sidebar is Drupal blocks, a basic HTML block at the top and Google Ad Manager below.
- Section tabs will be added above by #947162: marketplace page thinks it's part of the "about" section.
- Will be live as a preview until a sufficient number of service providers have shown up.
- We want to keep the initial work simple.

proindustries commentedLooks good...I suspect this question falls into a wider d.o policy I'm not aware of, so apologies, but...might it be useful to allow browsing by geographic area?

Matto commentedI noticed comments like this underneath the right-column ads in the Marketplace prototype:
"Advertising has helped pay for part of $25,000 in hardware improvements for Drupal.org"
That's a really great idea: Explains why D.O. is accepting paid ads and also gives examples of specific benefits. (I assume they will be randomly served from a pool?).

drummhttp://drupal.org/marketplace-preview is now live. I expect more refinements will come, like sorting by something not-alphabetical. Please file those as separate issues against infrastructure, drupalorg, or bluecheese. Be sure to tag 'drupal.org marketplace'
We are still having some issues with imagecache, #1109006: Imagecache does not work on Drupal.org, so please don't make a bunch of noise on twitter or blogs quite yet.
