tyler.frankenstein commentedI'd say Alpha is stable, it just doesn't have the feature set that DrupalGap 7 has. I've seen at least one person successfully build a headless Drupal 8 web application with DrupalGap 8. As soon as I land my first Drupal 8 project, we can expect a rush of improvements for DrupalGap 8, which I hope to accomplish by the end of the year, but if not I usually have huge sprints towards the end and beginning of the year.

tyler.frankenstein commentedI'm using DrupalGap 8 in production (against a Drupal 7 website). I have zero projects in Drupal 8 yet, but I would not hesitate to use DrupalGap 8 with Drupal 8 right now. Definitely use the latest drupalgap.min.js from the 8.x-1.x on GitHub. A big change for those coming from DrupalGap 7, is that DrupalGap 8 will no longer support the display/edit of entities out of the box. In hindsight it was foolish to try and do this in DrupalGap 7 core, because every app is unique, and instead the developer should be empowered to build their own compelling entity UI/UX. Please let me know of any DrupalGap 8 questions, I am excited to help and get this beast labeled as ready for primetime.

mrweiner commentedAny updates on the general module status? The website says it's not ready for primetime and we haven't seen any commits for about a year and a half, although your above post states that you wouldn't hesitate to use it with Drupal 8 right now. Since the messaging is a bit mixed it'd be great to get your thoughts on the current state of affairs.

skinI start to think that this really nice module is no longer supported.

alexborsody commentedLook into the PWA module as an alternative. Phone Gap is depricated in favor of progressive web apps.
