How is this different from the Devel module's Variable Editor?

This just focuses on handling variables. We'll be adding much more features soon that lets admins define access to different variables based on prefixes and roles.

I like this module for A. it's simplicity and B. because the devel module does a lot of things which are great for development but unsafe for production use

I didn't see a way to add a variable with Devel, that's why I used this module. It took me awhile to find the variable editor in Devel. I didn't realize it was located at devel/variable and I didn't see it anywhere in the menus.
