I find this confusing,,how does an article turn into a blog post?

Not sure how to address this, whats the difference between an article and blog post? I can understand you wouldn't classify both as similar though, is the description telling you its something different or ?

I am also having trouble posting new blog entries. Basically, I click 'add new content', then create the 'blog entry' using the 'add article' option. I think the question is; how do I get this new entry to show up on my "Blog" page so that when you go to my site, http://www.jrhh.biz and click on the 'blog' menu item, my new 'blog entry' shows up?

The Drupal front page is, by default, a list of promoted articles with the newest at the top. You might also wish to customize the content organization using the Views module:
