I have a path alias performance fix applied (http://drupal.org/node/43712) and now realized I need the relative path patch too (http://drupal.org/node/13148).
The trouble is, both patches make heavy modifications to the same core libraries and it is very unclear to me which of the relative path patch files is the right one.
So the question is: How to create / apply the combined patch for both 4.6.5 and 4.6.6? I have both versions in production.

dkruglyak commentedRe-assigned to Drupal project. Could not enter the right category on issue creation.

TDobes commentedBackporting patches is neither critical nor a bug. I'm pretty sure this sort of request belongs in the forum.

mediafrenzy commentedPost in the Forum? Despite the fact that it's been fixed in 4.7, Drupal 4.6.6 is still the current stable version, and lots of people will need to know how to fix this issue.
I don't know the standard procedure for open source development on a site like Drupal.org, but it seems to me that the bug fix should be posted here? This is after all where anyone using Pathauto will come first if they suspect something is wrong.
In this case we've had numerous 4.6.5/6? fixes/patches offered in one cluttered thread, which leaves myself and no doubt many others confused as to what our next step should be to resolve this for our 4.6.6 sites.
Just my 2c.

My mistake, I thought this was placed in the Pathauto issues section, rather than Drupal issues...

dkruglyak commentedSorry, I changed marking to "base system", as both other patches are.
mediafrenzy is absolutely right. Patching 4.6.x is not something that can be dismissed as "just a support request for the forum".
Many mission-critical patches are scattered all over the place and many people do not even know what hits them.

mediafrenzy commentedDoes anyone know what patches we should be applying to pathauto for our 4.6.6 installations?

magico commentedShould we backport these patchs for 4.6 or not?

dkruglyak commented4.6 is ancient history. Time to move on.
