The alignment of all blank-icons seem to be somewhat to the top, as shown in the image. Should this be somewhat lowered?

This is a matter of personal taste imo.

Although, that aside the icon is 20x20px. Measuring the font from the screenshot, that is 9px height.
No matter how you position things now, this is never going to look "good" and "centered" unless we increase the font-size, or we are de-creasing the size of the icon.

I noticed the same. It looks misaligned as it is now. Adding 3px to the vertical positioning of the icon image looks a lot better:

Only local images are allowed.
