I would like to see comments on post on the main page, and I can't see an option that enables this...

Is this possible?
thanks, jordi.

I don't understand. Are you requesting that comments appear like the nodes do in the main content area of your home page? Since comments aren't nodes (and natively reference a specific node) there currently isn't a way to do that.

If, instead, you want a short list of the most recent comments, there currently is a block for that that enabled when the commenting module is activeated. Its called most recent comments.

Well, you can get comments on posts on the main page if you use custom php snippets in a page with php type filter.

This seems like a feature request to me, so I'm changing it to that. Also, since no/few new features are going into 4.6 I'm moving this to cvs version where it might get addressed.

I would state the feature as:

Provide a configuration option to show (X) (most recent|least recent) comments in node teaser lists.

That is right. It is more of a feature request than a bug.

Still a feature request?

As greggles points out, this is easy enough to do with some custom code.

I think this is a "won't fix" because (a) it is easy enough to implement now, (b) we can never nor will we ever have configuration options that address every possibility, and (c) adding another configuration option to the comment controls on a (per node type?) basis would make a long form longer.

I'll agree with keith.smith but just wanted to add that my previous recommendation was written when I was new to Drupal and is more than a little flawed :)

A better way would be for example, to use the hook_nodeapi operation 'view' and/or the node.tpl.php or node-blog.tpl.php if you only want to do this for a specific node type.

I don't mind a long form :)

1 solution please comments on main page following a post - blog for example
