In Drupal 6.8 I as admin allow anonymous blog posting at admin/user/permissions but anon user is denied.
What are the steps required to reproduce the bug?
go to admin/user/permissions
Permission - anonymous user
blog module -
create blog entries - enabled
edit own blog entries - enabled
What behavior were you expecting?
Now, if an anonymous user tries to post at node/add/blog
he should be allowed to post blog just like an anonymous user is allowed to post story
without any problem
What happened instead?
The anon user is not allowed. The page shows "Access denied"
(drupal 6.8, php 5x, xampp)
Can someone please try and check this ? Is there any other module to byapss this permission problem?

dragonwize commentedThis is by design as the description of the blog module says:
The reason for this is that the blog module does not just provide a simple content type. It also provides pages that give each user that is allowed to create blog entries their OWN blog with their OWN blog page. This is done by using a users ID to seperate who's entries belong to who. All anon users have an ID of 0 so this will not work for them.
So your use case, while valid, is outside the use case of the module. Just create a simple content type yourself then give permission to anon users through the node permissions section. That will achieve your goal.
