Error: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'settings')  with dialog.position.js (Drupal 8) [#3403210]

I'm having the same issue as https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/3356667 but in Drupal 8. Although Drupal 8 is no longer supported, there might be some sites still on D8 needing this fix.
