Enabling different menu entries for each language

Could it be possible to enable different Menu items on each language. At the moment, if you have a French Menu, let say of 5 entries and you translate only 4 pages in English, you cannot avoid the fifth entry in French appear in the display of the menu in English. In other words, the "Enabled" check box should be language specific or else you are forced to translate everything.
