We can determine site_default_country by navigator.languages in Chrome/Firefox (user preferred order) and navigator.language in another browsers.

drupal_recognize_country-2573587-2.patch didn't work for me. I was expecting to see "India" as the default country. Attaching screenshot.

oops, yes, wrong country is worse than nothing. seems it's not possible in this way
