What I miss in drupal are some "edit buttons":
On the top of an text area (if you create a story, comment, forum topic, event or whatever)
there should be some edit buttons like other wblogs have (see nucleus for example)
After highlighting a piece of text and clicking of this edit button (say "bold") it the html-tags are pasted in.
Why this?
#1 It is comfortable even for people with html-knowledge
#2 You give non-htmler's the power to add same formatting to the text. More detail: people who are used to work with "Word" (or other Word-processors) could easily apply this edit buttons without the pressure to learn html-format.
In some of my projects I need to incorporate people, who are not safe with the use of computers and have poor experience/knowledge (but they have a computer and an internet connection). With this feature it is easier to cooperate with them using web resources. Demanding to learn html would possibly prevent them of cooperating.

ax commentedthere are several working implementations for this. both the htmlarea [1] and the Ekit [2] module provide just this, as do Julian Bonds "Javascript helper buttons for TextAreas" [3]. you might have found even more if you would have considered searching site / mailing lists before posting this feature request. marking this FIXED - please someone else CLOSE.
