Although there issome configuration options available for the user registration process, I feel a couple of things are still missing after my girlfriend pointed them out.
1) After registering for an account, you are told to check your email. Can this message be configurable to tailor the message to something nice, like "Thanks for taking the time to register, check your email for your password to login".
2) Once a user logs in they are presented with the bland "History" page. It would be nice to have a way to add a paragraph or so of text at the top of this page.
I think both the above configuration options should sit along side the others in /admin/user/configure

beginner commentedThe first item is already implemented in 4.7 admin/settings/user.
The second item: you want a welcome message on first login?
First, we need a way to tell when an account is activated the first time:

tstoecklerClosing this old one out. You can 2. with Fields now, and I would suggest Rules for 1.
If there is something specific you would propose for Drupal 8, please open a new issue.
