With Firefox 2.0.0.4:
I navigate my site as an anonymous user. Then I login after that the current page does not show a login block which is correct. Than I go back to page I just visited as an anonymous user and the login block is shown again, which is of course is not correct. When I do a shift-refresh the page shows correctly (without the login block).

MSIE6 does not have this problem (for a change).

Confirmed.

Does not happen in IE7 either.

There is a related issue, #196224: Logout Fails. It's marked as "won't fix", but if you really need this behavior there's a patch in that issue that you could apply at your own risk.

This does happen in Firefox 3.5x and I.E. 8 - newer versions of these browsers that everyone will have eventually.

Going forward, this will be a major problem. My users are not presented with the auth user menu on the home page - they have to navigate away from that page to be able to access the "higher" functions.

Is there no one working on this issue?

Mark
