I use the content type Article for most of the content. The content is mainly stories and articles that I like to have listed separately within the main menu. The problem for me is the top of each story it says "Latest". :-) Of cores they can't all be the "Latest". I'd like to only display one story at a time saying "Latest". Thank you! -Scott

pixelsweatshop commentedIf I understand you correctly, it looks like you are trying to change the number of posts on the frontpage (If I am not understanding correctly, please elaborate on your question) You can change the number of post settings at admin/config/system/site-information

Actually, I just want to be able to remove the text that automatically says "Latest". When I add content I usually use the "article" content type and then list the articles separately in the main menu. The problem is that each one says "Latest" before the title of each article. ?? Thanks!

I've attached a screen shot. As you can see... under the title of the article/story it says "Latest"? It's on all the articles I created? I would like to remove this from all the articles. :-) Thanks for your help.

pixelsweatshop commentedIn that screenshot there is nothing that says "Latest". Are you referring to the post date/time and author's name? (e.g. in ur screenshot "published by mario on 06/06/2011 - 23:42"?)

It looks like you have put a title on your content block. go to admin/structure/block/manage/system/main/configure and remove the title "Latest" that somehow ended up in there. Or use
<none>to override if it's somehow coming from somewhere else.Comment #8
kspin commentedThat was it! Thanks Nigel!!! I have the same issue with the "Image" text showing next to my images? Do you know how to fix that? See attached. I tried finding the block configuration for this but to no avail. :-)

admin/structure/types/manage/[CONTENT_TYPE_NAME]/display
Change "Label" to "Hidden"
