Hello
I have a fresh new install of drupal7-rc2 with Bartik 7.0-rc2 (default theme).
I just logged out, and the login block looks wrong as shown in the attached file.
I did nothing else than install drupal, clicked on "view site" and logged out.
The probleme dosen't appear on web chromium, it doesn't seem to appear on windows either.
Only with firefox 3.6.13 on my ubuntu10.04.
Not sure how to rate the bug issue, but as it is a core issue it seems maybe major is the most convinient.
Regards,
Liaz

Bugs and issues are always against head.

This has been reported a couple of times already, so clearly this is an ongoing issue.

I'd say this can easily be fixed by setting a width on the input fields and I was playing around with this when I saw this in the stylesheet:

#triptych #block-user-login .form-text {
  width: 185px;
}

I wonder why we are doing this because #triptych regions are 280px wide, so this sits the login block over to one side and looks very odd.

I'm bringing this up because I am wondering if we can actually trigger the inputs to display correctly in FF3.x Linux simply by setting any width, such as 94%, which works pretty well for all regions in FF Win (not tested beyond that). The header region needs some special casing if we do this (probably override with width: auto should do the trick).

Another way would be to special case the width of the user login form inputs for each region, this is not hard and will certainly fix the issue (set width in px).

Any thoughts before we start rolling patches?

I start up my ubuntu box 10.10 with FF 3.6.13 and don't see this problem..
but it doesn't same width of inputs for diff browser.

@5, yes I understand this is the case, this has been reported a couple of times before and then closed because either I could not reproduce the issue or the OP said it fixed itself, so its one of those odd issues that keeps cropping up.
