I tried to upgrade drigg from 1.33 to 1.36 and goto following 6 errors
Wrong parameter count for preg_replace() in /xxx/modules/drigg/drigg/drigg.install on line 104.
Wrong parameter count for preg_replace() in /xxx/modules/drigg/drigg/drigg.install on line 104.
Wrong parameter count for preg_replace() in /xxx/modules/drigg/drigg/drigg.install on line 104.
Wrong parameter count for preg_replace() in /xxx/modules/drigg/drigg_users/drigg_users.install on line 27.
Wrong parameter count for preg_replace() in /xxx/modules/drigg/drigg_users/drigg_users.install on line 27.
Wrong parameter count for preg_replace() in /xxx/modules/drigg/drigg_users/drigg_users.install on line 27.
What I may have missed? Perhaps it is trying to do something in loop in those two file that I can check manually?

ajayg commentedWhile searching for this error it seems other modules have encountered this in past
#74028: wrong parameter count for preg_replace() and #35747: Wrong parameter count for preg_replace()
I am on php 5

mercmobily commentedHi,
Ajayg: I have no idea why this is happening. I checked the functions: the number of parameters is perfectly correct.
Please check your permissions though. Those functions were there to ensure that the change of permission names didn't affect the permission configuration...
In particular:
access users by karma
create drigg stories
If the permissions are correct, I will close this issue as "fixed" since there is no way for me to understand why on earth it would fail. My only theory is that $data->perm is NULL... but even then, it's weird.
Bye,
Merc.

ajayg commentedThe permission "names" are correct. However it did change the actual permissions. Although I had access drig stories enabled for anonymous it was disabled after upgraded. SO I went through the permissions manually and corrected those.
So I am all set. But upto you if you want to keep open to see if someone else also had this issue.
the specific above two permissions did not change during the upgrade.
