Hi,

Can you please add a "category filter" feature which would allow the user to choose what categories of news appear on their homepage.

I would add a list of categories to the user's profile page which they can check or uncheck.

I would make all of them checked by default. This would mean that, by default, content from all categories would appear on the homepage.

The user can then modify what content appears on his/her homepage based on what categories are checked on their profile page.

In the example of FSDaily, the user could choose to remove highend news or beginner news. Or they could choose to only see news about community, government and legal. Or business, industry, government.

This feature would be very useful for sites that use drigg for a wider audience base with a broader selection of news.

Hi,

Doing this is very possible, and won't require any fundamental changes to the module.
However, it would only apply when the category the user selected is "all" - right?

Correct. And there would need to be some way of indicating which categories are chosen or not chosen in the category menu (underlining, greying out... something).
