For some numeric RETS fields, an empty value as opposed to a 0 may signify "Heating expenses: not known" rather than "Heating expenses: 0".
Therefore, how about defaulting a numeric field to NULL instead of 0?

If someone does need empty values to signify 0, they could do that conversion with the help of #1534506: Allow preprocessing RETS items.
