I've used draggable views on several projects with no problems so far.
then on this project i had a view, with a draggable weight sort criteria being pulled from another view of the same content type.
I then added a block display, whent to admin>structure>blocks, and set the block to appear only on
when i went to front I get server 500 error.
I've updated to the latest dev versions of draggable views, views, bootstrap, and ctools.
did drush cc all, drush updb, and ran cron.

I think you problem has nothing to do with the bootstrap theme. You can probably check by switching themes.

I see Call to a member function set_display() on a non-object, is the cause of the error. It looks like you have not properly saved your non-order view. Try resaving it. On the non-order view display, check the draggableviews sort and that it using the correct order view.
