Thank you for the module.

Is it possible to swap items over instead of inserting the dragged item.

So if an item is dragged from the last position to the first, rather than every item now moving down one, can the first item just be moved to the last in place?

Yes that is how it works. (with Native) when you click save, it reorder all values again from 0 to X. Reopen if you are still having issues (or a different issue as I thought).
