Problem/motivation
The policy page is well-written overall, but the FAQ section for GSoC contributors could be stronger. Right now, it says "strongly recommend not using AI" but doesn't explicitly state that if a GSoC student chooses to use AI anyway, they must still follow the disclosure and responsibility rules from the main policy.
This matters because GSoC students reading the FAQ might think the recommendation is an exception or a different standard. Clarifying this would help students understand that the rules apply to everyone equally.
Proposed solution
In the FAQ section under "For Google Summer of Code Contributors," add one sentence after the existing sentence that reads: "We would strongly recommend not using AI so that you learn the foundations you need."
New sentence to add:
"If a GSoC contributor chooses to use AI for learning or drafting assistance, they must still follow this policy's rules on disclosure, verification, and personal responsibility for all submitted work."
