I would love to see a one-pager about methodologies used to clean issue queues, including:
* Verifying bugs are still bugs
* How to mark issues as duplicate
* Answering support requests
* Responding to issues saying "Yes this is still valid"
* Rolling patches
* Other stuff I'm sure someone could think of/improve. :)
Apologies if this is already under-way, I looked at http://drupal.org/node/317 and didn't really see anything related.

add1sun commentedtalked to catch on IRC and we're thinking that general discussion of this does belong on the main issue queue page (node/317) with links off to the various places that really walk through all the fun things you can do. I've updated the main page with the outline here so we'll close this and let the open issue to update that page take over.
So, now a dupe of #240213: Getting Involved: Issue queue pages need work
