Display Builder Base Recipe

This recipe is designed to:

• Install selected components from the Standard install profile recipes: media types, text formats with CKEditor 5, the Basic page content type, tags, roles and responsive images
• Provide a Drupal starting point that is ready for development with Display Builder and the UI Suite ecosystem modules: UI Patterns, UI Styles, UI Skins, UI Icons and UI Controls
• Add icons to the text formats and menus

This recipe is intended to set up a complete site from scratch and meet core project expectations.

It is intended to be used as a base for a Display Builder theme recipe, such as Display Builder Bootstrap Recipe.

Requirements

• Drupal 11.4.11 or later
• Display Builder 1.0.0-beta9 or later

Installation

• Start with a Drupal 11.4.11+ site
• Install composer-patches before the recipe: Display Builder ships two patches for UI Patterns, see the Display Builder installation page, section UI Patterns patches
• Install the Minimal profile
• Apply the recipe

You can apply the recipe using PHP in Drupal 11.4+.

Run this command from the web root:

php vendor/bin/dr recipe:apply /var/www/html/recipes/display_builder_base

Or by using ddev exec:

ddev exec vendor/bin/dr recipe:apply /var/www/html/recipes/display_builder_base

If the command succeeds, you should see the following output:

[OK] Display Builder Base applied successfully

Clear the cache after applying the recipe.

When you return to the site, all recipe configuration and customizations should be in place.
