Problem/Motivation

We have now a navigation island to avoid back and forth on instances list.

Feedback merged from parent issue:

  1. LocalStorage strategy have some common and some specifics retention, there is a wrong ux experience as when navigate instances the display change
  2. is "instance" the correct wording here? It is the technical term and the one we use in Admin UI, for site admins, but it may confusing for casual users
  3. do we display the instances of the same "buildable" first? only? The list can become long and confusing, mostly with entity_view_override
  4. when we click to a link to an instance, it would be nice to keep the Instance view panel open, so users can see the switch, but if the Instance has a different profile, the Instances view panel may not be activated

Steps to reproduce

Proposed resolution

  1. Either add a specific storage when navigating from the island, or set builder state as global for a profile without specifics by instance id.
  2. Instance > Display
  3. Collapse only entity_view_override if > 10 displays? Add a better naming / hover title, add a search filter?
  4. related to 1. probably
