Generated node is not displayed if customized layouts are used

Problem/Motivation

Steps to reproduce:
1. enable Devel Generate and the core Layout Builder module.
2. use Layout Builder for a node type and make sure to check "Allow each content item to have its layout customized".
3. generate content with Devel for that specific node type.
4. open the created nodes.

Expected behavior:
The generated node's content displays.

Actual behavior:
It only displays the node title. The rest of the node fields are not rendered.
