In reviewing the functionality of this module, I have found that it duplicates work found in the Advanced Menu module along with several others. I would like to see a more consistent user experience when it comes to providing this functionality to Drupal users.

As such, I am proposing that this module be merged with Advanced Menu. If you are interested, I will gladly develop the migration code needed to make this happen.

As there has been no response to this issue since it was opened and the module presently appears to be abandoned I am requesting ownership of this module. My intention is to merge this module with the Advanced Menu module thus reducing the duplicate functionality of the modules.

Apologies for the late reply. I have granted you maintainer status. My only concern with your plan is that those projects which attempt to be all things to all people often seem to become more things than most people really want or need - in other words, users may end up needing to utilize a bloated and complicated solution when all they really want is a smaller, simpler, and more tailored solution. However, I clearly haven't had the time for active development for this module, and users are still wanting a port to 7.x, so I'd rather see some traction than no traction.

I'm sure there is plenty of opportunity to come up with a great merged solution, and doubtless you are more familiar with the needs there than I am - I just wanted to register my first thought when I saw issue whiz by when it was first created.

I completely understand the concerns with having a bloated solution which might not cut it when something simple is needed. The Advanced Menu module is presently comprised of sub-modules which can function on their own. The functionality provided by the Delegate Menu Administration is presently implemented in two of those sub-modules, Menu Admin by Role and Sub-Menus. This provides for a cleaner presentation and takes advantage of the Core Overview pages to provide consistent menu management.

I will begin building the needed conversion code to allow users of the Delegate Menu Administration module to upgrade to Advanced Menu.
