Hi all,

I tried to get ddblock working for a few hours now and nothing seems to work. I watched the screencast of the advanced tutorial so i can use a view with news items to show up with a pager. I did everything the screencast said just until the part where i should see the error on the page because of the non-existing theme for the ddblock. but i don't get any error. I just see a big title Homepage_Promoblok_DD with nothing else under it.

I know it's not easy to understand what i mean but i don't see anything! My views preview shows 2 results so that's ok. I created the instance of ddblock and configured it like the screencast and than put that block into a region on my homepage. And nothing shows up except for the title.

You need to install the ddblock slideshow theme files in your theme.

ppblaauw that's what i did. I followed that tutorial and it didn't work and than i did the same tutorial but in screencast and same result.
I installed the theme files in the custom folder in my theme folder. I moved the folder from default/ to all/ because i thought that was the problem but still no result.

Preprocess functions i added too with the name of my theme but the function doesn't get called i think because i've put a print "blah"; in it and it doesn't get run...

Sure why not. I don't know which fields i can place instead of $result->node_data_field_pager_item_text_field_image_fid because i don't get the result of the drupal_set_message() for debugging :-(

I see the view name in the content preprocess function is set to: Homepage_Promoblok but in the pager preprocess function its news_items.

The view name is case sensitive, it will not match e.g. homepage_promoblok

You can also see the fieldnames in the sql statement of the preview in the views configuration page.

Hope this information helps you further, please let me know.

Otherwise can you attach the sql statement from the preview.

It still doesn't work :-( Is there anything wrong in my sql ?

You use a different content type and fieldnames, the need to be changed in the preproces functions.

The following needs to be changed in the preprocess functions for all occurrences, e.g.: 

node_data_field_pager_item_text_field_image_fid

into

node_data_field_nieuws_promoblok_field_nieuws_promoblokbeeld_fid

and

node_data_field_pager_item_text_field_slide_text_value

into

node_data_field_nieuws_promoblok_field_nieuws_bericht_value

Still nothing. I just have to put the instance in a region on the page blocks right?
And i just put the themes (folder "custom") in my theme folder? Not only the contents of it?

sir,

1 - first change the Template of block from goddamn 'custom' to one of preset templates like 'Upright20'.
2 - in Pager setting, change Pager position to top.
3 - goto themes, and save themes to refresh the activities of adding custom folder to your default theme directory.
