After the setup configuration of this great module, we have an advanced dynamic display block running on our frontpage.
Because we are using a non fluid theme, we like to apply some CSS to our DD block, so that it will adjust to a resolution of 1024X768
To run our DDblock through our CSS i thought it would be best to place our images (using CSS)in as a background of the node body, instead of attaching the image to the node through a cck field.
That way CSS could be applied for that node.
I have used this within the moduleQuicktabsand
it worked out fine
However the fact that the ddblock comes through a view i assume that i can't apply CSS to my block (is this so?).
I have tried to experiment with this but for some reason my news item view doesn't display my body text (and therefore my images as well)
Reading the manual it does seem that applying CSS this way should be possible, as for specifying content:
"A node from a content type with multiple input." can be used.
I'm sure i'm overlooking something.
Hope this all is clear.
Help much appreciated.
Thanks

ppblaauw commentedYou can adjust the css of a ddblock theme in the css file of the ddblock theme used.
Example: when using the upright10 theme, the css file for this theme is at:
You can also make a custom theme from an existing theme, so you keep the original one.
You can have a look at the Create a new custom ddblock theme part of the advanced slideshow tutorial.
Hope this helps you further, please let me know.

held69 commentedThanks for your reply.
I understand that DDblock can be adjusted with CSS as you describe.
Can DDblock also display an image that is placed in the node (body text) with CSS?
Up till now i havent been able to display the body text in my ddblock.
According to the News item view - Fields- Node:body text, this should be displayed.
Displaying slide text and title text in my ddblock is not a problem.

grafixfarm commentedThe default slideshow in DDBlock is generated by a view. You can add the body text as a field in the view and use CSS to display exactly where you want it to be displayed. I think so?

ppblaauw commentedI am not sure what you both (held69 and mrbangkok) want to accomplish
What is the content of the body of the node?
Is this an img tag like:
or something else?
In the preprocess function you can replace the add image part with the content of the body field (you need to add the body field to your view and determine what the name is for the body field. probably this is:
so in the preprocess function it would become
Hope this helps you both further, please let me know.
Please explain more what you want to accomplish, what you did, what you expect and what is different so I can help you better and don't have to make assumptions. It should be clear how I can reproduce what you did.
