What should I do to make my Advanced Dynamic Display Block Slideshow to Work? [#777916]

I followed the manual creation of Content Types, News Item Views and everything in the instruction tutorial.I changed the preprocess functions and checked my site. First I must say I am grateful that my pictures show on the webpage. But the appear as alist. All of the images I uploaded are seen as a list. What can I do to make my Advanced Dynamic Display Block Slideshow to work?
After configuring the Filter -Node Type this is the error message that I get

Anyway I have been twiddling with the code and other stuff and even ntried to put FPSS on the site. I really dont know or cant remember what I did but Hey Presto!!! Dynamic Display Block Slideshow is on my site. It is cycling through the different images( I see it on the number pager) but.......there are no images. I see the grey box .....(ah ha!!) now I understand all those posts about grey box. Another thing is that all the images that should be inside the Dynamic Display Block Slideshow are all listed on top of the slideshow block. I have to scroll right down to the last image before I see the grey box.

I really am feeling good. It shows that I am not as thick headed as my second son makes me out to be. Yes I really am happy that at least after almost 1 year of trying I am getting some positive results. So please help. What can I do to put the images into the grey box?

Thanks for your reply. I have checked the FAQ. In point no 3..._fid for the image in the SQL statement of the preview of the view. The Group multiple values checkbox needs to be unchecked. Where do i get the SQL statement?

Also I checked some other posts and issues and I saw this >>......In your case, to show the images in the ddblock slideshow, you need to change all occurrences of:

node_data_field_image_field_image_fid

node_data_field_pager_item_text_field_image_fid

Looking at my template.php file it looks alright to my inexperienced eyes. It really is sort of confusing. Like I mentioned before ALL the Images appear as a list. Could you please check the site www.filmsforchangenigeria.org
and also the template.php file. I know you must be inundated with thousands of requests. So maybe you could ask one of the many people who understand it to look at the site and help me fix the problem.
Once again I am going to attach the template.php file

Could you uncomment the drupal_set_message lines in the preprocess functions and attach the result.

Please help. I am going over your Advanced Dynamic Display Block Tutorial. After configuring the Views Module right up to Defaults:Configure filter Node:Type I get a big Error Message all printed in red!!. What could this mean, What have I done that I shouldnt have done? Or what should I do that I have not yet done? The error message that I get is pasted here below

I tried to create the Dynamic display block slideshow on another site.
I tried putting the advanced Dynmic display block in a Node. I get this error message

Please what does this mean and how can I get the grey box to show like it did on my other site. The current site is www.thenollywoodhouse.com. I have also attached the template.php file for this attempt.

Can you attach the result of the drupal_set_message lines. Not the template.php file (reload the page with the slideshow and the result should be shown there)

#6 seach google on: user warning: Illegal mix of collations drupal, its not ddblock related.

if you mean the error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ';' in /home/thenolly/public_html/includes/common.inc(1648) : eval()'d code on line 2

what I see at your site, have a look the the file in the error message and the given line number.
Also for this site can you attach the result of the debug lines when you uncomment them.

I reloaded the page and went to my cpanel-filemanager- and found the drupal set message lines. I uncommented them and this is what i get. I have copied and pasted the two drupal_set_messages for the two preprocess functions

Did you create a ddblock instance?
You need to place the ddblock instance in one of the regions, not the block generated by the block display.

I probably will sound dumb and ignorant but I will not be ashamed to say that I really dont know where to find the drupal_set_message lines that you mention. So please help me once again. Where can i find the drupal_set_message lines?

I just noticed that the Dynamic display block slideshow grey box appears on all my pages. Even all the admin pages.I just mention this incase it will help you to understand what is happening on my site with the ddblock so that I too can understand it and so get the ddblock slideshow to work
