How to use ddblock to display blog entries

Hi,

I've setup ddblock as demontrated on the Advanced Dynamic Display Block Slideshow Video Tutorial (using News Item content type) and I now have a question regarding customizing it to my own needs.

First, I would like to use ddblock to show content from Blog Entries instead of News Items.
One problem is that I have modifyied the Blog Entry content type by adding an extra Text Type and an Embedded Video Type field to it. It is also Galleria enabled as each Blog Entry has an Image gallery associated with it however, I am willing to replace Galleria with a simple default ddblock gallery taking images from a folder if Gallaria is a problem.

In an ideal situation I would like to catch with ddblock a single image with title and slider text from each of my aforementioned image galleries (associated with blog entries).

I hope the above makes some sense.
Please let me know if this is possible, maybe there is a tutorial I might have missed, or whether there are any kind of workarounds towards this solution.
