I have created a content type for ddblock and I have also created 2 contents. Each of them contains one image which I want to slide. Now in ddblock I’ve set the input type to “content type” and in the content type settings I’ve chosen the corresponding type as well I have to choose a node. But I have currently 2 nodes which I want to slide and have to choose one within the settings. Is this an error or I’m doing something wrong?

The basic options uses images from a folder or one content node with HTML.

To use more nodes you would need to use the advanced option of the ddblock module.
Create a view to select the nodes you created and make a block display using the image as one of the fields of the view

now you need to enable the view and the content in the settings tab of the ddblock module.

When the content type and view display block to use for the slideshow are enabled in the settings tab of the ddblock module.
The ddblock instance can be made for the views block display in the instance tab.

When the ddblock instance is created for the views block display the instance can be configured via the list tab.
Choosing slideshow template, mapping the views_fields to the slideshow theme fields, setting speed, timeout etc

Hope this helps you further, please let me know

Hi

First thank you for your fast reply, really appreciated this. I've configured like you suggested and it works. I didn’t' realize that the templates are mandatory for the sliding effect. I’ve thought that should work also without template, if I don’t want some special design. Thank you again!

Great it works now.

The slideshow would also work without installing the slideshow themes.
The module has a default slideshow theme.
In this default slideshow theme only the prev/next pager on the slideshow will work.
