HI,

I have been trying to use DDBlock slide show for last 10 days...I tried following tutorial given on
ddblock.myalbums.biz page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7OWh7UNdys
and later also
http://summapro.com/drupal-tutorials/ddblock-advance-slideshow-tutorial-...
both the times I able to get the block shown (only grey box or blue box depending on theme) but no images displayed. although checked permissions for anonymous users, when created content tpe made user it is "published".
Checked for similar issues and tried all solutions from clearing cache to checking preprocess functions........don't know where it is going wrong.

all required modules are installed and enabled: * ddblock
* jquery_update
* cck
* views
* filefield
* imagefield
* imageapi
* imagecache

I see uploaded images are stored under: sites/default/files but
under admin->site configurations->images
I have set Default image path: 'image' folder. (don't know if that is wrong)
I am attaching template.php file.

Please need help here.

Can you uncomment the drupal_set_message debug lines in the preprocess functions

In your case you need to change in the preprocess functions for the ddblock slideshow:

$result->node_data_field_pager_item_text_field_image_fid

into

$result->node_data_field_image_field_image_fid

You probably use the field for the image in more content types, that is why CCK generates another name for the field.

I had seen this solution related to similar issues but it had asked to use otherway if older version of module is being used. Much much thanks for solving this!
Are there any links/tutorials to guide me on how to style the theme for DDBlock?
In my ddblock theme (modest-grey50p) I want to give link to different node for 'Read more" can I do that?

HI,

sorry to bother you with questions but you seem to know exactly how to use it, so would want to ask you one problem that I am facing.
If I enable this by admin->blocks the block shows up properly.
But if I add thr' panel (I have front page panel) as a block the images seems to be missing again.
do I need to save the view as block?
anything I am missing here?

You need to add the ddblock instance to the panel, not the views block display.

Yes, it did work. I added DDBlock instance thr' panel. Earlier there were two instances of block on same page I guess that is why it was not working. After I disabled one the other (panel one) worked.

Hi,

I have few more difficulties with ddblock slideshow. I have changed custom theme to-Chromatic blue20l, and unable to get pager item numbers. Default style for prev and next is getting picked instead of theme's.

I have put all required files for chromatic blue20l theme under 'custom' folder and which is under mu themes folder.
for ddblock configurations:
using cycleblock
custom template: chromatic-blue20l
pager->custom pager,
pager container-> .prev-next-pager (I have taken this from themes css file)

in view I have pager-item-text - it is text but according to theme pager will be number form.
do I need to make any changes to pre-process functions?
Can anyone help me to get to the solution. what I am doing wrong?

chromatic blue 20 is a theme with a prev/next pager.
It does not have number pager functionality.

I see in the css file that you added number pager classes, so I assume you want to use a number pager.

The classes for the number pager have to start with

 div.ddblock-cycle-chromatic-blue20l

instead of 

 div.ddblock-cycle-chromatic-blue10l

Hi there,

thanks for your reply. My mistake since pager items from chromatic-blue20l were not working I had just replaced last few lines from css file of chromatic-blue10l to check if number will work.
But I have reverted back those changes and all classes for ddblock are showing 'div.ddblock-cycle-chromatic-blue20l' now. thanks for pointing it out.
But the problem remains, pager items are coming on left instead of right and no white border around text is seen, which is in css file. I tried to give box float:right; property but didn't work.

#13 you should select prev-next pager instead of custom pager for the pager in the ddblock configuration page.

yeah the above got solved no doubt!
Just wondering is it possible to show ddblock in fluid width (percentages), so if I design my slide show for lowest res. 800 then it should resize it for 1200 also?
