It would be really useful, if the filtering options would work. I mean the "Display fields" filters "Show ? value(s)", starting from and ending on.

I don't exactly know on which page you found the "Show ? value(s)", could you be more specific please?
By the way, in the last (and next times) I won't be able to do much on that module (unless considering paid services). But patches are very welcome!

Could you check if this issue is still open for 2.x branch? I've implemented a new clean CCK formatter, and the field limits should be respected in the field formatter.
