It would be nice for users to opt in to receiving subscriptions for the date picking. Whenever someone changes his votes, you will get a notification (possibly controlled by other notification modules).

This way you could keep up with changes in the poll without having to check it too frequently.

I don't know if this is rather an issue of a subscriptions module or of this module or both. Maybe it's not even possible in the current configuration, as the date picker formatter is not a stand-alone content type.

Indeed this could be interesting.
The way it should be implemented may be discussed. I would try to use the notification module to send mails/SMS/private msgs and such.
I postpone this issue for now as I can not afford myself spending too much time on this.

A way to do that by email could be to use the modules Rules and this thread in Voting API #319094: Integration with Rules. I haven't tried it though.
