I need to have a select list with a starting value prior to 2003 (say 1995), but I cannot see where the starting value for select lists can be defined.

Where in code would I be able to define the starting value for select lists?

Disregard this, I've found that you can set this in the definition for the field through admin. I just didn't notice that the collapsed area was not expanded.
