Parse error: syntax error

Clean install of D7, first module I added is date, I get

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ';', expecting ')' in /var/aegir/platforms/drupal-7.0-alpha4/sites/mydomain.com/modules/date/date_api_elements.inc on line 156

my php is very limited, otherwise i would try and fix it myself.
