Hi,
I created a custom content type and added a date field to it of type 'Text Field with custom input format'. Whenever I create a new node, the value for this field is not saved to the database. If I set the field to required, then I always receive an error message 'A valid date is required for mydate', even though there is one present.
I tracked down the issue to a simple typo in a variable name. It's not an issue in the Drupal 6 version. The attached patch fixes the issue for me.
Cheers,
Stella

hanat commentedThanks. I will give that a try and see if it fixes the issue I'm experiencing.

karens commentedSame patch as #417032: Validation always fails on text fields date, which was just committed.
