I have a "Born" field with granularity of Year.

Choosing the date from a Select List, it does not get saved. Changing to a text field and entering the year, it is saved.

It all works fine in date-5.x-2.x-dev version from Aug 12th.

There's another report that is probably related at #295336: Data not saved, so I'll mark this a duplicate.

I can't replicate the problem, so I need more info about the field you tried to create, follow up with this on the other issue.
