It would be fantastic if, when creating a date cck field, I could have the granularity defined by the user. Some users could input very precise dates + times, whereas others might input very course dates (perhaps just the year). Ideally this would be done dynamically by having the date system parse the input to determine granularitry.

It would require an extra column that defines the granularity in the database structure.
