For the month view's pager after the last update, despite having the identifier as month (and day) the format still shows: "Monday, September 1, 2014" instead of "September" as it did before.

Could someone please help me with this? I've tried playing around with the date formats, but cannot find the correct one.

This is a duplicate of https://www.drupal.org/node/2333159 and https://www.drupal.org/node/2294973 https://www.drupal.org/node/2294973#comment-9016311 describes the procedure to fix, which includes applying the patch and then submitting the form at admin/config/regional/date-time/date-views to reset the variables.

The patch works, however, it seems like the latest version of dev "2.9-alpha2" is already pre-patched. But you still have to click on the (YOUR_WEBSITE)/admin/config/regional/date-time/date-views and save for the changes to take effect.

I do have another site with the 2.8 version. I will apply the patch there are report shortly.
