Token module conflict

I am running Drupal 5.6 with PHP 4.3.9, and just updated to Date 5.x-2.x-dev. I got an error in the upgrade script related to token (I didnt record the error at the time). By disabling PathAuto and Token modules, I was able to eliminate the error. After the update script was run, I re-enabled the PathAuto and Token modules. Now I am getting the following errors:

* warning: date_token_values(sites/all/modules/date/date/date.inc): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/html/drupal/drupal-5.6/sites/all/modules/token/token_cck.inc on line 254.

* warning: date_token_values(): Failed opening 'sites/all/modules/date/date/date.inc' for inclusion (include_path='.:/var/www/phpincludes:/usr/share/pear/') in /var/www/html/drupal/drupal-5.6/sites/all/modules/token/token_cck.inc on line 254.

Any idea?
