Date Migration example creates tables containing columns of type 'datetime'

Given the long discussion regarding the removal of datetime from the core API should the date migration example be creating tables with these column types (via the field mechanism)?

This also causes warnings when the Schema module is installed.

In addition should the module remove these fields etc when uninstalled?
