CVS edit link for sidke

I wrote and will be maintaining the Spritesheets module in development by ActiveLAMP. Spritesheets is a module that automatically scans css files for images in-use, and allows you to easily aggregate them into a single image to cut down http requests and speed up page loading time.

Spritesheets was referenced in the ActiveLAMP blog here: http://activelamp.com/blog/mikethompsoncom-launched-drupal-7

+1 for CVS access

I reserved http://drupal.org/project/spritesheets for him while the module was in development.

We're using this module in production for Drupal 7 at www.mikethompson.com. It works wonderfully. After granting sidke access, could you also please make him the author of node/862124 so he can manage the releases of this module.

Thanks!

I've made some code changes, so here is the new version.

An official release for Drupal 7 has been posted here: http://drupal.org/project/spritesheets

Please give sidke access to CVS so he can take over maintenance of this project. Thank you.

Hello, and thank you for applying for a CVS account.

As per requirements, the motivation needs to include more than two sentences (possibly a paragraph) that describe the module features (the description should make clear what the module features are without to look at the code), and a comparison with the existing solutions.

I will report here a little checklist:

  • The code needs to follow the coding standards; check in particular the format used for the control structures, and the name given to PHP variables, Drupal persistent variables, functions defined from the module.
  • Files available from third-party sites should not be included within the module/theme. This is particularly true for files that are not licensed under GPL License v2, but it is also true for files that are licensed under the same license used by Drupal.
  • The license file should not be included as well; the packaging script already include that file. In any cases, the code for modules/themes committed in drupal.org repository needs to be released under the same license used by Drupal; any compatible license is not allowed.
  • Check the code passes the Coder validation.

Just reviewed the module again:

- The code does pass coder review
- There are no files from third-party sites in the module
- There is no license file included in the file.

Only local images are allowed.

Component: new project application » co-maintainer application

Okay, it's been over a month. I'm turning this from a new project application to a co-maintainer application because that's what it is, and those seem to get processed in a snap. This is already a module on drupal.org, and the current maintainer would like me in there. I'm sure the comments in this application serve enough as a public record for my acceptance as a co-maintainer.
